The invitation

Blue rectangle, white triangle, brown strip. Water, sail, boat. Move the triangle and suddenly it's a mountain. Try three scraps of your own; don't glue them down too soon.

First step

Gather three scrap-paper pieces and arrange them into a little scene.

Blue rectangle for the sea, white triangle for a sail, brown strip for the boat. Three scraps and suddenly it's a scene. Haven't glued them down because I'm still moving the sail around.

Moved the white triangle behind the blue instead of onto the boat. Now it's a snowy mountain beyond the water. Same scraps, and the boat suddenly seems much further from home.

Don't glue it yet. I want to see what happens if the sail goes somewhere else.

It's still loose! Moving the triangle is turning out to be much more fun than sticking it down.
