Cover for Cobalt, orange, and a lot of cream

The invitation

Cobalt vase, orange flowers, cream paper. Pick three colors from somewhere near you and give the combination a name. Which one gets most of the space? The others can just turn up in little bits.

First step

Choose three colors from one nearby scene and give the combination a name.

  1. Choose three colors from one nearby scene and give the combination a name.
  2. Decide which color is the background and which two are smaller accents.
  3. List the colors, their source, and the palette name; a photo or color sketch is welcome too.

Shared version of Cobalt, orange, and a lot of cream

Kept your cobalt and cream, swapped the orange for a faded pink. 'Flowers the Next Morning'. It's gentler, although I miss a bit of the orange's punch.

Cobalt from the vase, orange from the flowers, pale cream from the paper. Calling it 'Flowers on a Workday'. I'd use mostly the cream, with the orange in just one small corner.

Would the orange be a tiny accent or a whole block of color?

Clara Rossi

Tiny accent, I think. Mostly cream, some cobalt, then one spot of orange that you notice straight away.
